Wireless Emergency Alerts Today?

Today the Government of India has sent wireless emergency alert messages to many people.
This message has been sent by the Department of Telecom, Government of India. The reason for sending this message is that the message broadcast by the Department of Telecom is to warn citizens about natural calamities like water logging during monsoon.

Very recently the first message is expected to be sent as a demo alert to test the alert system to ensure its reach. Government agencies use wireless emergency notification technology which is enabled by default on ‘Android’ and ‘iOS’ devices to deliver critical information to their people immediately. This service is mostly used during emergencies to keep citizens informed and safe.
